Wire Wrapping Journey 7

made using Shealynns tutorial
Happy New Year!  Onward and upward in 2014 with my journey in wire wrapping, with a very interesting idea I came up with on Thanksgiving day.

I noticed my Aunt wearing an ear cuff when she arrived for Thanksgiving dinner. The cuff was small and simple, yet noticeable.  Of course the wheels started turning and throughout dinner I was designing cuffs in my head.

Then it hit me (like a v-eight) I could make a few ear cuffs for gifts, in different styles and colors.

Ear cuffs made using a tutorial from Shealynns Faerie ShoppeBut first I have to find a easy ear cuff tutorial on the net, something simple and not to ornate. The first tutorial I found is from Shealynns Faerie Shoppe . Shealynn has a Simple Ear Cuff tutorial with great pictures and easy to follow instructions. As you can see by the picture, I had no trouble following her direction and taking it a bit further with more curves, adding crystals, and even creating a bow.

Handmade Ear Cuffs for giftsI really had a great time creating these cuffs and my Aunt was surprised when she opened her gift. She had no idea I knew how to make ear cuffs. ;o)  Needless to say she wants all the designs, in every color… Uh oh! lol

Triple Bend Ear Cuff TutorialLuckily I had a couple spools of colored 20 gauge wire so I could practice making different designs. Needless to say, the cuffs were a success. You’d be surprised how easy these are to make…

In fact, I’m going to create a tutorial on the cuffs you see in the picture below. I’ll post the tutorial next week… This is going to be awesome, I am very excited to share this with you.

Please leave a comment below and share your thoughts about these little treasures. Thanks for visiting and be sure to check in next week for the Triple Bend Ear Cuff Tutorial. Cari
